I am a qualified psychotherapist with a Diploma in Human Givens Psychotherapy (H.G.Dip.P.)
I’ve always been someone who listens. As a child, I loved hearing my grandmother’s stories, not realising that this early curiosity about people and their experiences would shape my future work.
My path into psychotherapy has taken a few turns, but every step taught me something. I began by studying biology and working as a lab technician. This scientific training still influences how I understand explain the connection between mind, body, and emotions. I later trained and worked as a landscape architect for ten years, giving me first-hand experience of the pressures and challenges of working life.
After having children, I trained as a person-centred breastfeeding counsellor. Over the next twenty years, I supported parents through what can be an intense and emotional time, helping them find ways forward that felt right for them. For twelve of those years, I ran a weekly drop-in group, offering a warm, supportive space for women to be heard and understood.
I came to Human Givens psychotherapy after seeing the difference it could make, both personally and in others. It felt like a natural next step—allowing me to build on my experience and support people with a wider range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, low mood, and life transitions. In my work,
I focus on helping you feel better as quickly as possible, while also supporting deeper understanding and lasting change. I offer a calm, practical, and compassionate space where you can talk openly, make sense of what’s going on, and discover how to move forward with more confidence.
Alongside my practice, I continue to volunteer at a local breastfeeding support group. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, dancing, writing, and spending time with my family.
